About Onlinivox
We publish practical car care guides for people who drive their cars rather than rebuild them.
Who we are
Onlinivox (onlinivox.com) is a US-based publishing website operated by Onlinivox Inc. from Atlanta, Georgia. We write about car care and ownership for people who rely on a vehicle every day and would like to understand it a little better — not for professional technicians, and not for hobbyists rebuilding engines in a garage.
What we cover
Our subject is the everyday side of running a car: service intervals and what they actually mean, tyres and pressures, the fluids worth checking, brake symptoms, batteries, seasonal preparation, dashboard warning lights, driving habits that extend a car's life, and how to look over a used vehicle before you commit to it. We explain the reasoning behind each check so the advice still makes sense when your car does something we did not describe.
Our approach
We start from the manufacturer's guidance rather than folklore. Your owner's manual was written by the people who tested the components, and where our general advice and your manual disagree, the manual wins. We say so plainly throughout the site.
Where we draw the line
There is a clear boundary between what an owner can sensibly check and what belongs in a workshop. Checking a tyre pressure or a fluid level is owner territory. Diagnosing a fault code, repairing a braking system, working on steering, suspension, airbags or fuel systems is not. We point readers toward a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and for any safety-critical repair, every time, because that is genuinely the right answer.
Our values
Clarity, accuracy and honesty about uncertainty. We do not publish invented statistics, manufactured urgency, or promises about outcomes we cannot know. Vehicles differ enormously, and any guide that pretends otherwise is not being straight with you.
Who this site is for
Mainly US-based drivers who want to keep a car in good order without becoming a specialist. If you have ever wondered whether a noise matters, whether a warning light means stop, or what to look at before handing over money for a used car, these guides are written for you.
